Dr. Doft is the author of When Your Child Needs Help, A Parent's Guide to Therapy for Children.She wrote an advice column entitled "Ask Dr. Doft" for a nationally distributed parenting magazine.She has taught child treatment at NYU Medical Center and is on the advisory board of NY CHADD.
Dr. Doft has been frequently consulted by all areas of media. Most NY TV stations have interviewed her, starting with the "Today Show". She has been contacted by many women's and parenting magazines and virtually all major NY city newspapers. An article in the NY Times titled "Memo to Guilt Ridden Parents" featured her prominently. Authors have consulted with her, such as Maxine Rosaler for Coping with Asperger's Syndrome.
Dr. Doft's formal training in psychology includes an MA from Columbia University, a Ph.D. from Yeshiva University, and a postdoctural certification from New York University.
